Office 365

The Office 365 service consists of a number of products and services. Since it was released five years ago, Microsoft have been constantly revising and improving the applications. Office 365 is available in two subscription based editions; small business and enterprise. Microsoft make it very easy and cost effective to go “into the cloud” without giving up the familiar Microsoft server and client applications.

Here are the top reasons why you should chose Office 365!

  1. It’ll grow with your business

Office 365 is available on the cloud, yet also has the ability of integrating with your company’s on-premise solutions if needs be. Using the cloud has so many advantages. Particularly in terms of saving on the maintenance costs associated with local servers.

  2. Simplified migration

Migrating to Office 365 can actually be easy, regardless of the storage tools you currently use. Since Office 365 undergoes constant updates from Microsoft, you’ll never need to migrate your data again!

  3. It’s secure!

One of the most important factors when choosing a cloud service, but Microsoft’s online services have been designed with your security requirements in mind. Office 365 applications are accessed through an encryption. So, if a transmission is intercepted by someone without authorization, they will not be able to read it. Microsoft also does regular security audits and antivirus signatures are kept up to date.

  4. It’s reliable AND saves on cost

Downtime means worker productivity is lost and ultimately results in companies loosing money. Microsoft Online Services provides a service level agreement (SLA) and has a 99.9 percent scheduled uptime. Microsoft has multiple datacentres, located all over the world, hosting redundant network architecture. If there is an outage at one datacenter, another can act as a backup. Which results in maximum productivity!

  5. Don’t worry about updates and maintenance

.Microsoft takes care of all the dirty work so you don’t have to. With Office 365, companies and their users receive all of the features and functionality of the very latest versions. Updates, patches, and upgrades just happen in the background without you needing to worry about it.

  6. Exchange Online:

Exchange Online gives you all of the benefits but without the cost and overhead. Such as, user mailboxes which are up to 25 GB and personal archives that provide more storage space. In addition, users can restore deleted items, edit the same document at the same time and if you don’t have Office installed, you can use Office Web Apps to work with your documents in a Web browser. You are able to manage documents offline and have everything automatically synchronized back to the server when you reconnect. Also, your SharePoint sites are protected against viruses and malware by Forefront Security for SharePoint.

  7. Office Web Apps- work Online!

No matter where you are or what computer you’re using, you have access to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote, and you can create or edit content and post it to your SharePoint site or save it in your OneDrive folder. You get the same familiarity you’re used to with traditional Office applications and documents display the same way they do in the desktop apps. You can even view and edit files on many popular mobile devices, including Windows phones, iPhone, Blackberry, Nokia and more.

If those aren’t incredibly compelling arguments, then I don’t know what you’re looking for in a highly efficient collaboration solution for your business! Of course, transitioning everything on to Office 365 and encouraging adoption among users may be a little hard. But with a good plan and the right tools, you’ll find that the project will rapidly pay off! See you in the Cloud!
